Introduction

This event will feature a mixed gamemode style, using the best maps of Capture (CTW), Conquest (TDM, 5CP, CTF, and KoTH) and Destroy (DTC/M). The event is single elimination. The tournament style will reflect the Beta tournament, with unique maps selected for each of the rounds.

Each round will be best of 3 (Bo3), using a pre-determined order of Capture followed by Conquest and then Destroy.

CTW and DTC matches will last a maximum of 45 minutes. Conquest matches will have a time limit of ~12 minutes. As such, the Conquest gamemode will be best of three maps.

In the event of a tie, a round-specific and predetermined tiebreaker map will be played. This is also the case with the maps used in the tournament. Each round’s chosen tiebreaker maps can be seen below in the maps section of this post.

Maps

Each round will use different pre-selected maps. The maps chosen are some of the finest and most memorable maps on the network. The order of the maps can be found below.

Knockout Round Jan 28 - 9:00am EST
Teams will play a match of War Wars: Redux and the winner will have the option to veto first or second of the 3 gamemodes to play 1 gamemode. After that the loser of the match will have the option to veto first or second for the maps of the gamemode until there is 1 map remaining (DTC/CTW) or 3 maps remaining (Conquest). In the case of a tie, the loser of the War Wars match will have the option to veto first or second of the 5 tie breaker maps to play 1 map.

Regarding the /map rule on Race for Victory 2:

"Players may not obstruct the majority of the lane with lava or obsidian."

Majority refers to more than 50% of the lane going horizontal (12 wide wool lanes). If there are 7+ blocks of obsidian or lava in a 1x12x1 region (length, width, height), it will be drained/cleared and punishment may be handed to the player(s) or team breaking the rule.
